Last Days of Summer

Last week we took a family road trip to visit my in-laws in Columbia, SC. We spent a day on the beach in Charleston, went to the Farmer’s Market, slept in, stayed up late, had lots and lots of coffee (including a delicious honey habanero latte from Drip, pictured above), drank plenty of white wine, ate lots of chocolate, and enjoyed ourselves completely. If you have a baby girl, you know how important those silly baby headbands are. While you can find them in nearly every grocery and convenience store, cute, understated and interesting headbands under $20 are nearly impossible to find. One day, I was rifling through my delicates drawer and I stumbled upon a vintage handkerchief. At the time we had NO money, not even enough to buy a cheap little pack of headbands, and Esmé was getting to the age where I wanted to start dressing her up a little more when we would go out.
