Traveling Treasures

Whenever we travel, I like to pick up treasures along the way. It makes the idea of the trip last a little longer, and certain items in my closet remind me of fond memories from our adventure for a long time to come. This trip happened to be full of great little finds everywhere we went. Continue Reading…

Last Days of Summer

HoneyHabanero

Last week we took a family road trip to visit my in-laws in Columbia, SC. We spent a day on the beach in Charleston, went to the Farmer’s Market, slept in, stayed up late, had lots and lots of coffee (including a delicious honey habanero latte from Drip, pictured above), drank plenty of white wine, ate lots of chocolate, and enjoyed ourselves completely. Little Memories

photobooth

This is a picture from last Fall, when we took a trip to a cabin in Pigeon Forge. There was an old black and white photo booth in front of one of the convenience stores, and I made Micah stop everything and take some pictures with me. This ended up being really inconvenient for everyone, but I’m still glad we did it. The next day, on our way home, we went back to the booth to take another group of pictures with our dear friends Eden and Daniel. I have a feeling we’ll hold onto these pictures till the day we die.

24 Little Hours

porchview

This past weekend my husband and I were invited by his awesome parents to spend the night at a log cabin in Beersheba Springs TN.  It was such a warm and homey cabin, and the view (on the edge of a huge valley) was completely breathtaking. We spent yesterday lounging in the hot tub, drinking coffee, playing scrabble, taking naps, and watching old movies. Even though it wasn’t a very long trip, it energized both of us and was completely worth the drive. I highly recommend overnight cabin trips!

In our tent-room built above the kitchen-so cool! (sorry I look so crazy)

The first picture is the view from the back porch…sigh…
