Smoked & Shredded

One of the best things about living in the South is the abundance of Barbeque restaurants. When I lived in California “barbeque” meant grilling some sort of meat on the grill in your back yard…in the south it means shredded pork marinated in it’s own juices, topped with sweet and tangy sauce and piled on a bun. Very different. It always surprises me how much I like southern style BBQ, and sometimes when you get a craving for that stuff, nothing else will do.  It’s especially good topped with coleslaw and drizzled with extra sauce. A few nights ago we went by Stroud’s in Franklin after work and picked up some sandwiches to go…SO. GOOD.
