Whenever we travel, I like to pick up treasures along the way. It makes the idea of the trip last a little longer, and certain items in my closet remind me of fond memories from our adventure for a long time to come. This trip happened to be full of great little finds everywhere we went. I picked up these Free People distressed jeans at Bohemian, my favorite boutique in the five points area of Columbia. They were on sale for $10!!!! I couldn’t believe it.
Micah’s parents live dangerously close to Target, and this time it had SO many great things on sale! Those shorts for Esmé were only three bucks. Same with those precious bows. The bikini top was way on sale too, and those sunglasses were ONE DOLLAR. I might go back and buy them out. Just kidding….kind of.
My Mother-in-Law gave us three very pretty vintage handkerchiefs to add to our collection, and the one tucked in my pocket is my absolute favorite.
While we were at the Farmer’s Market we picked up my favorite coffee of all time – Indah – which happens to be roasted in Columbia. I’m not sure exactly what it is about this stuff, but it smells just like coffee should – you know the smell you dream about sometimes? Is that just me? And it tastes exactly the way I want coffee to taste. You should absolutely order some.
While we were in Charleston, we picked up these two buddies. It’s become sort of a tradition to buy tiny plastic animals when we visit Folly beach. We have a collection of tiny animals, and these little guys just had to be part of it. That flamingo? I couldn’t say no.
Does anyone else do this same sort of vacation treasure gathering? I would love to know what your favorite things to find while exploring new cities are. For us it’s always coffee and clothes.
